Visit the hometown of Hurtigruten and the brand new museum in Stokmarknes.
Lunch can be purchased at the original restaurant inside the ship, which is part of the museum. After lunch, you can explore Stokmarknes and Hadseløya with a walk or a self-guided tour into the mountains. Also, check out the sauna 'DYPP' in Stokmarknes for an extra sauna experience by the harbor in the afternoon.
On the way back to Svolvær in the afternoon, you will even get to join the impressive Hurtigruten ship while visiting Norway's most iconic northern fjord: Trollfjorden.
Food: Lunch can be purchased at the Hurtigruten Museum, at the original restaurant Kafè Finnmarken, which is part of the museum ship. Stokmarknes also has several supermarkets and various restaurants such as Rødbrygga, Hotell Richard With, Mormors kafé, bakerikafeen, and a Chinese restaurant. At the end of this journey, you can enjoy dinner on board the Hurtigruten ship that takes you back to Svolvær. You can order this on board from 6:30 pm. The ship remains at the quay until 8:30 pm - so then it's time to leave the ship.
